The genetic foundation

The Chemdog 91 Connection

Skunk VA is the breeder behind Lucky Dog Seed Co. According to him, he has maintained the original Chemdog 91 SKVA cut since 1995. “SKVA” identifies that preserved cut and its custodian; Skunk VA is a person, not a seed variety.

The cut provides a living genetic reference for Lucky Dog’s backcross work. Several releases pair a selected Chemdog 91 Bx3 male with another named parent, while Double Krush records Bx2 material. Each seed line has its own parentage, and seeds are not copies of the original clone. The longer Chem 91 history belongs in a separate editorial article.

Breeding architecture

Lucky Dog Seed Co Breeding Lines

The Chemdog 91 SKVA clone is a source reference in Skunk VA’s work. A backcross generation describes selected offspring bred back toward that reference. The breeder’s Bx3 male appears on the pollen side of several releases here, while Double Krush is documented with Bx2 material. The generations describe a breeding route, not a guarantee that a seed will reproduce the clone.

Outcrosses give each release another named parent. East Coast Sour Diesel, Durban Poison, GMO and Apples and Bananas take the shared Chem reference in different directions. The product pages below keep these routes distinct.
