Blue Bacio — Grounded Genetics

Blue Bacio combines the original Blue Sherbert with a reversed Bacio Gelato, resulting in a line built around dense structure, strong resin production and the distinctive morphology associated with elite Sherb and Gelato selections.

According to Grounded Genetics, the Blue Sherbert influence remains central to the expression, while Bacio Gelato contributes additional density and structural strength. The line is known for producing rock-hard, rounded flowers, compact formations and larger top buds with deep purple colouration.

Heavy resin coverage is another defining feature, reinforcing the classic late-2010s California look and feel that made these genetics so influential.

For collectors and growers familiar with the original Grounded Genetics catalogue, Blue Bacio represents a genuine return of an early release. For newer collectors, it offers access to a line that captures one of the breeder’s most important historical periods.

Background

Blue Bacio was first released by Grounded Genetics in 2021, where the original drop sold out extremely quickly. This new release brings the line back after several years out of circulation, making it one of the breeder’s more nostalgic catalogue returns.

The cross reflects a specific period in California breeding, when Sherbert and Gelato selections were at the centre of the scene. Grounded Genetics describes Blue Bacio as a direct expression of that era, with the Blue Sherbert side remaining dominant while Bacio Gelato reinforces structure, density and overall power.
